Recipe for Shrimp
- 1 1/2 cups of flour, 3/4 cups cornstarch
- Baking powder about 1 ½
- Salt, kosher, 1/2 teaspoon
- The equivalent of one pound of shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 1 1/2 cups of iced club soda
- Frying with canola oil
- Boom Boom Sauce
Boom Boom Sauce
- One-third cup of mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- One teaspoon of roasted sesame oil
- Flavor enhancer: chopped green onions
How to make boom boom shrimps
Mix flour, cornstarch, Cold club cola, and salt. Well-blended
Heat canola oil to 375°F in a big heavy-bottomed skillet or saucepan. Use an oil thermometer.
4 to 5 shrimp in each skewer. Using a medium or big shrimp, use 3 per skewer.
Soak the shrimp in the flour-cola batter until they're covered.
Fry the shrimp for 3 to 4 minutes till golden brown after the oil is hot.
Fry shrimp and drain on paper towels.
Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sesame oil to produce Boom-Boom sauce. Green onions are optional.
Fry shrimp skewers.
