1 cup warm milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Activate the Yeast
In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar.
Over the mixure sprinkle yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Mix the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, and salt.
Add the activated yeast mixture and knead until a soft dough forms.
Rise and Double
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
Shape the Rolls
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into equal portions.
Put them on a baking sheet while shaping each portion into a ball, lined with parchment paper.
Second Rise
Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
Preheat and Bake
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
For up to 15-20 minutes bake the rolls.
Serve and Enjoy
Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
These rolls are perfect for any meal, from breakfast to dinner.
