  • Large skillet or pan for cooking shrimp and sauce
  • Wooden spoon or spatula for stirring

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340g) fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, making sure they are evenly coated.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with olive oil. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Take out the shrimp from the skillet and put aside.
  • Melt the remaining 2 tbsp of butter in the same skillet. Include minced garlic and cook for approximately 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring constantly. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Stir the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce turns smooth and creamy.
  • Combine the cooked fettuccine and shrimp with the sauce. Thoroughly toss all the ingredients together until the pasta and shrimp are evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
