- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic glaze, for drizzling
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
By using salt and pepper season the chicken breasts on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
Cook the chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through.
Transfer the chicken breasts to a baking sheet.
Top each chicken breast with a slice of fresh mozzarella cheese and a few tomato slices.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese has melted and started to brown slightly.
Take the baking sheet out of the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Drizzle balsamic glaze over the chicken breasts.
