Ingredients
2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks to the pan and sear for 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the steaks from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
Add the beef broth, soy sauce, and thyme to the pan and bring to a simmer.
Place the seared steaks in the crockpot.
Pour the broth mixture over the steaks.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Remove the steaks from the crockpot and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
