Ingredients

  • Four cups of quick-rise flour
  • Sugar, one tablespoon
  • A Tablespoon of Baking Powder
  • Crisco shortening, 3/4 cup
  • The equivalent of 2 cups buttermilk and 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • 4 cups of self-rising flour, 1 tablespoon each of sugar, and baking powder are combined.
  • Use 2 knives to cut Crisco into flour.
  • Cut Crisco into the flour until it forms large crumbs.
  • Add 2 cups Buttermilk gently, mixing until dough forms.
  • Form dough into balls using floured hands (about golf ball-sized).
  • Grease a pan and add Hardee's biscuit balls.
  • Golden brown after 20 minutes of baking
