Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread or baguette
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the Italian bread or baguette lengthwise, without cutting all the way through. This will form a space to contain the filling.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, basil, and oregano. Mix well.
  • Gently spread the herb and butter mixture inside the slices of the bread, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese between the slices, allowing it to melt into the bread.
  • Add salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and crispy.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
