Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the Italian bread or baguette lengthwise, without cutting all the way through. This will form a space to contain the filling.
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, basil, and oregano. Mix well.
Gently spread the herb and butter mixture inside the slices of the bread, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese between the slices, allowing it to melt into the bread.
Add salt and pepper to your liking.
Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and crispy.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
