Ingredients

  • 2 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, and mix until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
  • After that, incorporate the vanilla extract and eggs into the butter mixture, adding them one at a time. Make sure to beat well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes.
  • Move the cookies onto a wire cooling rack and allow them to cool down entirely.
