- Corned beef brisket, 3 pounds (with spice packet)
- 1 onion (quartered)
- 15 ounces of the beefy aroma of the broth (low-sodium)
- Red potatoes, one pound (quartered)
- (2 cups) Carrots (sliced)
- Half a Cabbage Head (cut in wedges)
- Pepper, freshly cracked (to taste)
Corned beef should be washed in water before being placed in the slow cooker. The beef should be seasoned with the contents of the spice packet.
Place the onion on top, and then tuck the ends of the onion into the sides of the dish. To the entire contents of the pot, add the beef broth.
Fill the can with water until it almost completely encompasses the brisket. Cook on low heat for eight to ten hours.
Carrots and potatoes should be added three hours before the meal is ready to be served. Finally, add the cabbage to the dish 30 minutes before it is ready to be served.
After the corned beef has reached a fork-tender consistency, remove it from the slow cooker and allow it to rest for a few minutes.
Cut it into slices, and serve it alongside some veggies. Enjoy!
