Equipment

  • Smoker or grill
  • Mixing bowl
  • Food processor or blender
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Serving platter
  • Plastic wrap or airtight container for storage

Ingredients

  • 2 cups smoked tuna, flaked
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your smoker or grill to medium-high heat. Place the smoked tuna on the grill grates and smoke it for about 30 minutes until it's fully cooked and has a smoky flavor. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, chopped dill, red onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix and combine all the ingredients well.
  • Flake the smoked tuna into smaller pieces and add it to the cream cheese mixture. Stir gently to incorporate the tuna evenly throughout the dip.
  • Transfer the Schooners Smoked Tuna Dip to a serving platter, smoothing the top with a spoon or spatula. For enhanced flavor, cover the dip with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • When ready to serve, garnish the dip with additional chopped dill and a few slices of lemon. Pair it with your favorite crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
